Sign Guestbook View Guestbook | Samuel LaGarr Burton Monetta –- Samuel LaGarr Burton, 62 of Monetta, husband of Annette Sigmon Burton died Thursday January 17, at his residence after a long illness. A native of Saluda County, he was the son of the late LaGarr Shuler Burton and late Anne Sherard Burton. Mr. Burton was a very progressive farmer, and was recently retired from R&K Industries in West Columbia, SC. He was a member of St. Johns Methodist Church. He attended The Citadel. Surviving in addition to his wife are his 2 sons LaGarr Shuler Burton II of Monetta, William Lewis Burton of Atlanta, GA., daughter-in-law, Tara Hall Burton of Belvedere, and grandchild Dylan Austin Burton. Funeral Services will be conducted
at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2002 at St. Johns United Methodist Church,
Hwy. 23 in Batesburg, by Rev. Karin Culp with Burial following in the Burton Family
Cemetery in Monetta.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6-8 pm at Barr-Price Funeral
